With facilitation by the Ministry of Industry, the Association of Indonesia Automotive Industry (GAIKINDO) conducted a workshop “The Future of Indonesia Automotive Industry” in Jakarta, 30 April 2015. Director General of Land Transport Equipment Industry, Ministry of Industry, Mr Soerjono said Indonesia’s automotive industry growth was slowing down at the early period of 2015.
He said there are five strategic steps to take to improve the national automotive industry— to encourage export, to expand market, to develop body-work industry, to nurture industry of automobile components, to build advanced technology and industry.
GAIKINDO Chairman Mr Sudirman MR said that GAIKINDO is about to conduct workshops more frequently. He added, workshop helps in monitoring achievements of automotive industry and finding solutions or regulations to trigger growths of automotive industry.
