JAKARTA– Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (GAIKINDO) today 29 April 2016 is organising a community service. This activity is titled “GAIKINDO INDONESIA INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW 2016 MEDIA TRIP – GIIAS EDUCARE 2016”. As its title suggests, GAIKINDO in this event is taking along a group of journalists to a state-run Islamic primary school Mathalul Anwar, in Kemiri, Karang Anyar, Tangerang (Banten).
This activity emphasises on the improvement of educational services, which is packaged in a programme called “Educare”. This is an activity in routine conjunction with annual auto show GAIKINDO INDONESIA INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW (GIIAS), 2016.
GIIAS Educare aims to contribute directly to improve the facilities and educational activities for the next generation. Some of the programmes in GIIAS Educare include sharing knowledge ‘Teaching and Giving’ as well as donations of school supplies, renovation of educational facilities and free medical consultations for students and the surrounding community.
The GIIAS Educare 2016 is implemented in collaboration with non-profit community of “1,000 Teachers”. They are committed to contributing significantly to education in rural parts of the country through social actions. Through their social accounts, “1000 Master” continuously reports the condition of education in the interior parts of the country.
Mathalul Anwar school only has three class rooms for 168 students of the school, and is attended by eight teachers. (*)
