JAKARTA– Second day of automobile exhibition GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2015 on Friday, 21 August 2015 marked the launches of a number of exhibitors. Of the passenger car category, the BMW appeared with the launch of its new model, the Gran Tourer. Meanwhile, from the category of commercial vehicles, Tata Motors launched a large tractor head.
For BMW, the launch of the all-new Grand Tourer is the first for the Indonesian market. This is a premium compact vehicle which offers a spacious interior, with full security and practical features. “All New BMW Gran Tourer is created to meet the needs of consumers with high mobility and an active lifestyle,” said Director of BMW Group Indonesia Ms Karen Lim.
Being a family vehicle, it can accommodate up to seven passengers’ seat. All New BMW Gran Tourer enters Indonesian market with a price of IDR 749 millions off the road.
Tractor Head 6×4 Mainstay of Tata Motors
Meanwhile, Tata Motor also presents Tata Prima 4928 tractor head 6 x4 with engine capacity of 6,700 cc. According to the President of Tata Motors Distribution Indonesia (TMDI) Mr Bisadev Sengupta, Tata Prima 4928 is “intelligent truck”, equipped with high-tech as it comes with high safety standards and ensure business benefits.
Tata Prima 4928 is built specifically for businesses such as container trailers, steel coils lifter, transporting timber, mining vehicles, construction, distribution, and transportation over long distances. For this product Tata Motor tags a price of USD 745,305,000 off the road. Tata Motor’s product range– together that of with Hino, Isuzu, Mitsubishi Fuso, UD Nissan Diesel, Toyota Dyna, FAW, Scania, Iveco– are showcased in Hall 3A, Booth 3 F, in building Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) City from 20 to 30 August 2015.
